Option 1 – Use the Compass app on your phone

1. Stand in your main entrance, facing outside.
2. Open the built-in Compass app on your smartphone.
3. Hold your phone flat and slowly rotate your body until the compass shows the direction you are facing (for example: South or North-East).
4. Use that direction for “Main entrance faces”.

Option 2 – Use Google Maps

1. Open Google Maps and find your building or home.
2. Zoom in until you clearly see your building and entrance.
3. Tap the compass icon so that the top of the map is North.
4. Look at which side of the building your entrance is pointing (up, down, left, right). This tells you if it is facing North, South, East, West, or a diagonal like South-West.
